Recycling & Secure Destruction

Our Process

  • We gather textiles directly from brands, institutions, and community partners.

  • Materials are assessed to determine the most sustainable next step, reuse, fiber-to-fiber recycling, or secure destruction.

  • Items suitable for reuse are upcycled or redistributed, while non-wearable textiles are broken down into raw fibers for insulation, rags, and other industrial uses.

  • For items that can’t re-enter the market, such as branded goods, defective products, or recalled merchandise, we use industrial shredding and downstream processing. These items are reduced to unrecognizable fiber fragments before being recycled.

At Re-Tex, we make sure textiles, shoes, and accessories never end up in a landfill. Whether you’re a brand managing excess inventory or a community running a collection program, we guarantee that every item is responsibly reused, recycled, or destroyed.

Why It Matters

  • Ensure unsellable or sensitive inventory never resurfaces in secondary markets.

  • Every item is diverted from landfills and given a responsible end-of-life pathway.

  • We provide certificates of destruction and impact reporting so you know exactly how your materials were handled.

Re-Tex stands for a closed-loop solution: nothing wasted, nothing hidden. We combine environmental responsibility with security, helping both brands and communities move toward a sustainable future.
